School can be much more detrimental to a person’s creativity and innocent naivite. You are going to school because you are afriad? Afraid of what? Of what will happen if you don’t go? You ought to try not going. Maybe you will discover something about yourself that you didn’t know before. There is more to your personality than school, and you are more of an individual than just a student. Going because there is something worth learning? Most learning is school is garbage designed to rot your brain.
But our society doesn’t accept people who don’t go to school; they always get the shitty jobs.
Also, why would you deny free education? I mean, sure, some of what they teach us is shit, but the biggest problem is the teachers. We need them to inspire creativity rather than try to get paychecks. I encourage going to school because kids also learn social interaction. Also without school you might learn things the wrong way or a simple and inaccurate way. Teachers are supposed to be wizards at what they teach, and they are there to help us understand it. Or they are supposed to be. They have been slacking as of late.
If you had a kid who was naturally good at science and you kept them from school they will end up passing up the chance to help the human race with their studies and research. People don’t want physicists without a formal education, people want professionals, and the more school you go through the more professional you are.
Society has made everything so easy for us that if we try to stray from the norm we will end up struggling for food or a place to sleep. I want to be happy and live in the mountains of New Mexico, but I am so acclimated to the efficiencies of city life that I don’t think I could survive without a car or money to trade for food. So since I can’t live independently I will have to get a job to buy the things I need. But before I get a job I must go to school. So happiness or a future, that is the question.Shit, I hope you don’t take this negatively! I was just ranting because I can’t decide if I hate school or love it. I tried to stop before I said too much :p
What most people don’t realize is that in order to abolish the school system, that is, to have a more liberal learning experience based on interest, there would have to be a revolution against the overwhelming giant that is popular culture.
Most people just aren’t willing to give up their walmart and iphones and mass-produced cars, they just want to get rid of the mind-numbing school. And, in that world, the only way up is to get a college degree.
So to ramble on, I think the problem is with a clashing of the two worlds.
